Approach to Care
I approach every session with an open mind and an open heart. I believe that each person already holds within themselves the wisdom and resources needed to heal. Our work together is simply about reconnecting with those strengths. I use both Brainspotting and inner child/re-parenting approaches to help heal the wounded parts within us that hold trauma responses, emotional wounds, and negative beliefs about ourselves. As a supervisor, I use these frameworks in combination with a family systems approach to support clinicians in both their own internal growth and their journey toward licensure.
Why I Do This
I believe wholeheartedly in the power of human resilience, connection, and relationships. We are relational beings who seek safety through connection. It is a gift to witness each person’s uniqueness and to see how healing creates more space for connection, authenticity, and love. I am deeply committed to helping others heal and equally committed to my own personal growth and healing.
What a First Session Will Be Like
A first session can be whatever you need it to be because every person is different. Generally, you can expect a space where you feel seen, heard, and welcome to ask any questions you may have. We will likely discuss what brings you to therapy, what you hope to gain from it, and areas of your life that feel less joyful or fulfilling than you would like. We may also explore how mental health symptoms are impacting your ability to live a more present and connected life.
Experience
I have worked in the mental health field in various capacities since 2012, across a range of settings including trauma-informed treatment centers for individuals with co-occurring disorders, community clinics, and private practice.
