Katie Latsch
Behind every person receiving quality mental health care is a team of professionals who deserve to feel just as valued as the people they serve. As Chief Executive Officer of Pathways Counseling Center, Inc., Katie Latsch believes strong organizational leadership is essential to providing compassionate, consistent, and high-quality mental health services throughout Minnesota.
At Pathways, mental health professionals dedicate their careers to caring for people during some of life’s most difficult moments.
Katie believes her responsibility as CEO is to care for those professionals with the same intentionality, compassion, and respect they bring to their clients. While clinical professionals focus on the individuals and families they serve, organizational leadership is responsible for creating the conditions that allow them to do their best work.
Katie holds a graduate degree in Organizational Development and Human Resource Management from Concordia University and a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Wisconsin–Stout, with a minor in Psychology and a concentration in Communication. She also holds professional certifications in leadership coaching and leadership training through Maxwell Leadership.
As CEO, Katie oversees organizational strategy, operations, financial sustainability, leadership development, and workplace culture. Throughout her years of executive leadership, she has guided organizational growth, strengthened operational systems, and worked alongside clinical and administrative leaders to navigate the complexities of providing mental health services in Minnesota. Her responsibilities include organizational planning, responsible resource allocation, and professional development initiatives that strengthen the foundation for ethical, individualized mental health care.
Katie’s approach emphasizes high accountability, high support, and meaningful collaboration. She values the expertise of clinical supervisors, program directors, and mental health professionals, recognizing that those working directly with clients bring essential perspectives to organizational decisions. She believes effective leadership requires listening to those closest to the work and ensuring their expertise informs decisions affecting service delivery, continuity of care, and the client experience.
For Katie, leading Pathways is ultimately about earning the trust of the individuals, families, and referral partners who depend on the organization. Her commitment is to help maintain a mental health organization where professionals have the resources and organizational support to do their best work, and clients are treated with dignity, respect, and compassion.
Her guiding belief is simple: Our clinical professionals care for our clients. Our responsibility as leaders is to care for those professionals, so they can focus on what matters most: serving our clients.
Outside of work, Katie enjoys spending time with her husband, Geoff, and their two sons, Jack and Brady.
