Approach to Care
My approach to therapy is relational, collaborative, and grounded in both insight and practical application. I tend to work particularly well with clients who think deeply about themselves and others, feel overwhelmed by the pressure to constantly adapt, or are seeking a therapeutic space that allows for complexity and nuance while staying connected to everyday realities.
Why I Do This
I care deeply about creating spaces where people feel they don’t have to over-explain, justify, or simplify themselves in order to be understood. I enjoy helping clients recognize recurring patterns, strengthen self-trust, and build lives and relationships that feel more sustainable and fulfilling.
What a First Session Will Be Like
The first session is typically focused on gaining a clear understanding of who you are, what has brought you to therapy, and what you hope might feel different in your life. You do not need to arrive with clearly defined goals. Therapy is a collaborative process, and we can begin wherever feels most important or accessible to you.
Experience
My background includes employment and life coaching, neurodiversity and workplace inclusion work, and consulting on accommodations and accessible systems. I also spent many years working in animal behavior and training, which continues to inform how I understand relationships, communication, stress, and adaptation. My clinical interests include complex trauma, attachment patterns, memory reconsolidation, and relationship dynamics.
